*NOTE: This was shot at night under tungsten lighting conditions. I chose a song that accentuates deep bass with "noisy" interludes, just to see how it sounds. Hope this test helps others.

The footage is raw. I did not modify the audio or video before the youtube conversion. However, I did modify the image using custom settings in the camera itself.

Frame Size: 640x480

I have about 35min of recording time with a 4gb SDHC card at the largest frame size: 640x480.

Cons:

- The speaker is right next to the zoom rocker, so every time you want to zoom in you're going to hear it. I would suggest practicing with the rocker and learn to toggle the zoom smoothly.

- There is no control over the audio recording, which means you can't adjust the audio levels. As you can hear in the video, the audio distorts.

- You can't zoom in optically, only digitally during video recording, consequently resulting in less resolution.

- Cam did not focus when I got close to an object.

Pros:

- Audio is good, but I will test this in louder situations.

- Good detail with wide shots

- Nice color rendition

- Digital zoom during recording.

I highly recommend this camera. It is my first digital photography camera and I am very pleased with the photographic results. To see images taken with this camera, go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/charlie_casino/sets/

  • @goaliemaster33 menu_mute off!

  • my audio wont turn on how do you turn it on

  • Video is nice on this one. My old canon that cost me only 80$ and take some nice video. But then I drop in the river. This Canon Powershot A650 IS, is very costly.

  • most of my vids are filmed with an A650 and are better quality i think...

  • frame rate seems pretty choppy. is it at 15fps?

  • nice i might be getting this camera

  • I also have that good stuff! The best Digital camera with resemblance to SLR. High MP can print outs larger picture maintaining the finest and natural shots. It's the best!!!

  • Yay Man Man :)
