IF...they get royalties its for work they've already done. I feel they should be payed for the new work....The studio makes plenty why shouldn't the stars get more of it too for their added efforts. They're smart for making the behind the scenes stories available.
Actually I'm thinking, if they still get royalties from the sales of the movie, then it would've been in their financial interest to do the commentary for free as it would have made the DVD more appealing and hence earned them more money.
So that's why the new DVD version is a little plain. We'll this year is the movies 30th anniversary so I suggest Universal tightass Studios makes another DVD release and pays the stars to make it worthwhile.
i think it is an insult to celebrities who spilled thier hearts into what makes a movie great and stars has the every right to get paid for using thier voice tallents fo audio commentarie soundtracks to dvds
it's like not paying matt damon for an tv interview for his lastest stuff good on you
mel for standing up for your rights as a performer.
I've always liked her and would dearly love to see her on-screen again. Having said that, though, I have to give her a two-thumbs-up for having the backbone to walk away from Hollywood to start a new career as a substance-abuse treatment counselor.
Hi Melody; You modeled for me. We went on location at a bar called Martells on 83 St & 3rd Ave. It was for suede jackets. There was another model her name was I think Susan ? It was 1979 or 80. You are still a looker. Glad to see you are well. Signed, A Photographer

That's great. Imagine going in for some marriage counseling or something and you end up with Flash Gordon's girlfriend.
