Research For Better Teaching (RBT)- Who We Are and What We Do

Research For Better Teaching works in partnerships with schools and districts to bring about sustainable school improvement in student learning. We know this work is complex; there are no quick fixes. RBT works with schools and districts long-term to strengthen three capacities that are at the core of school improvement: skillful teaching, skillful leadership, and skillful data use. No single factor is more important in a students' learning than teaching expertise. Skillful data use -- frequent, in depth, and collaborative -- is a hallmark of schools that are sustaining improvement; And, of course, no meaningful change happens without able leaders.

For over 31 years, RBT has developed deep expertise in each of these areas. We can work with you to weave them together in ways that make the most sense for your context and provide the most leverage for lasting change.
