It's a herculean voice for sure. I saw his Otello at the Met a few years back and was impressed at the size of voice. It is the largest Tenor voice that I have ever heard live. The downside of the performance? The size of his voice. He missed out on some important dynamics. He really does sound like a Baritone but he obviously negotiates the passaggio with relative ease. He has excellent BFlats!

What a voice!
Now that is what a tenor sounds like! I heard him just a few days ago as Cavarradossi in Tosca at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Wow!
