@yamaharules163 Don't Yamaha die hards get sick of saying "its the future".....NINE YEARS now you have been saying that while getting left in the 2 strokes now cleaner snow dust....... The Yamaha camp continues to make do with the same heavy 4 strokes while not get invited on rides by friends sick of hauling on your ski loops.. MEANWHILE the rest of the industry develops lighter cleaner more powerful sleds....."4 Strokes are ANCIENT HISTORY"..start getting used to it .....its been NINE YEARS

@yamaharules163 yes four strokes are the future i now ride a four stroke dirt bike kx250f but i stand by my comment of they are to heavy and not powerful enough for the size of the engine i dont think you will see two stroke snowmobiles fazed out for a long time but for ATV's and dirt bikes two smokers will be gone within the decade or even sooner
I bet you've never even tried it and you already hate it. And to the others commenting earlier, 2 strokes do not get DOUBLE the power of four strokes(not yamaha 4 strokes at least), my friend has a Ski-Doo GTX 600 and I have an RX-1 1000 and I own him in drag race and holeshot. If you want to race stock, 2 stroke is obviously faster but 4 stroke is more reliable, smoother, easier on maintenance, better for upgrading to turbo and just more enjoyable. But thats just my opinion with some facts.

I second that promaterial. To each his own. Persnally, I love Yamaha but Ski-Doo has some good machines, so does Arctic Cat, not a fan of Polaris but the 500's are pretty sick since they're the most reliable polaris engines. And to the guy ripping on Yamaha find some maturity and get your facts straight, the Phazer isn't that heavy,
