  • Nice live shot of a classic.

  • Aways loved this guy,but it,s time to to put it away,,a couple of strokes done him no good,,,you gotta give it to him though,,,like an old boxer,,he loves to play an can't stop,

  • this was hard to watch....great that he finally dug this old chestnut out...its probably my favorite all time opener to a live album....that has so much FIRE.

  • This is sad to watch.

I saw Johnny Winter live about 10 or maybe 12 years ago and he was absolutely stunning - probably the best guitarist I've ever seen live and his band was as tight as fuck, absolutely excellent.

Alas... this is a poor shadow of what he once was and even the backing band seems a bit amateaurish. Sad, really sad. JW was one of the best guitarists ever....

  • @jwfan19 Sometimes the truth hurts. I love Johnny, but it is undignified for him to keep playing when he so obviously cannot.

  • @beeroosterm Your parents should apologize for bringing up such a dick.

  • I saw Johnny earlier this year in Ft. Laud and he was amazing. He must have had a bad night in this video. Maybe the boat was rockin too much...

  • Uh oh, what's the trouble here? Your fingers don't get "shot." This isn't drugs, it isn't liquor.

  • go Johnny go....

  • @beeroosterm --Doubt if LEDs would help his playing. He's not totally blind. I got to meet him about 3 years ago and he can see good enough to sign autographs and shake your hand. No, his fingers are shot. No speed, no strength, no agility. His playing now is weak. The licks are still in his mind, but the body can't execute them.

But, he's still good live. :)
