YouTube Standings - 3 Strikes & You're OUT! | Do You Check Your Status?

This short video is for a new subscriber who had questions about how to check her YouTube "Good Standing" status.

It is important to check your status regularly for potential copyright strikes and Content ID Matches. Your account can be banned after 3 strikes. We don't want that to happen.

To avoid copyright strikes, always use original content and have permission to use any music, images, etc.

So if the Content ID Claims is not in good standing... does that mean im about to get a strike?

@bangelandspuffy4ever It's possible that a strike is on the way. My best advice is to remove the video with the copyright infringement before the strike comes. Better to be safe than sorry.

@LuBellaCoils YouTube support has been known to send a copyright infringement notice to the account holder but sometimes it can get lost in the shuffle. It's always best to make it a habit to check for yourself though. How are you? On vacation? Whooo Hoooo!

Thank you for this I have a couple of vids that will not play on mobile do to music used. But, I do not have the skills to swap out the music. I am really basic in knowledge of making a video.

@MzChocol8star Either use @YouTube audio swap feature or re-upload the video without the questionable music. Personally, I do not like audio swap because the owner of the music swapped "owns" your video. Royalty free music is the best way if you want music in your video.
