A buddy of mine was looking at a pentatonic autoharp and this was one of the first videos I watched of one, almost a year ago, and was very moved by your version. I downloaded the first 30 seconds and used it as my alarm until I rebuilt my phone.
Just wanted to say thanks for such a beautiful version to gently wake me...will be making another ringtone asap with this again!

I just started listening and now started to learn to play the autoharp, I just love this song you play and many many more that you play especially the gospel ones. Hope I can play half as good as you do, thanks for the inspiration.

Do you think it is possible to play The Water (river) is Wide on a 15 chord bar autoharp? Do you have any 15 bar autoharps to play a few simple songs on while showing me your fingers on the cords as you press down. Jane

What a magical sound - you're calling the soul of this song into your hands and harp.

Very beautiful! (It seems to be a bit mysterious to me how you pluck the melody!)

Lovely effort. The Water is Wide, (O Waly, Waly), is thought to be an English or Scottish folk song, sung since the 1600s. Greetings to one and all from Jarrahnut in wonderful Western Australia.
This is so beautiful! Thank you for playing this! The sound does sound different & I am assuming it's b/c it's a pentatonic...not sure...I do like the sound very much...when you learn more about his instrument, please post it for us! Thank you, Donna

I found out the reason this harp sounds good, is because it's a dAigle, not because it's a pentatonic. Bill

Never heard of a pentatonic harp!! What does that mean? It's very beautiful, and so is the sound!!

I still don't know how to use the pentatonic portion of the harp - I'm just playing it regularly. Pentatonic means the scale has five notes instead of the eight, but that's as far as I know. I'll learn more as I go.
