  • Do you know why some of the cars had central doors and the others did not?

  • Sorry, no. Those cars only serve the very top of the Harlem line were it is not electrified. They are more common on the Hudson line. I do not know what those cars are called. I believe they predate even the M1 cars.

  • Is this Cold Spring Harbor sation?

  • no. see comments below.

  • these trains go to Wassiac the last stop on the Harlem Line

  • I know that already

  • no dude...they go to poughkeepsie

  • Only diesel commuter trains go to Cold Spring no third rail that way

  • I think they were eliminated when the m7 came.

  • I saw live-rails on the track

  • no they are gone

  • Are ACMU's still Workin the rails? I thought they were retired a year ago.

  • These cars serve all parts of MN's H/H/NH lines. For example there are 2-3 pairs of GCT-North White Plains trains which are regularly assigned this equipment - see train 538 any day of the week for example.

  • Not all the FL-9s are retired yet. MN wishes - but nothing else seems to hold up long enough to allow their permanent retirement - same goes for the M-1As.
