@xero993 I am not arguing i am just saying if you are going to "educate" the public please provide accurate information Lockheed Martin supplies quite a bit of information via press releases. You are basing your comments on information you found on the internet seeing that you are in Australia, Read the press release, production means its a fleet aircraft going to the customer. The aircraft that went to Edwards/Pax are test aircraft and are not considered "production".
@Toddie4usa5 "now you are quoting from the press release why didnt you just quote from the press release?" Can you be more specific with your questions?
As for the aircraft, indeed it was, but it is still a production aircraft - both aircraft have the same design, both are from the same block number, one is for testing this final version so they have a full knowledge of it's performance, the other is for teaching 'normal' maintenance officers how to work on the production aircraft.
@xero993 a few posts up to told butteflies that the first production aircraft flew back in February now you are quoting from the press release why didnt you just quote from the press release? The aircraft you refer to that were delivered to Edwards were the test aircraft this aircraft is a production aircraft to train pilots....
@Toddie4usa5 Please research for yourself if you want to argue:
"AF-9 is the first aircraft delivered from Low Rate Initial Production lot two and the seventh F-35 delivered in program history to the Air Force. Over the lifetime of the program, a total of 59 F-35s will compose the fighter fleet at Eglin AFB."
This is the first production aircraft to arrive at Eglin AFB, but there have been multiple production aircraft delivered to Edwards AFB before this one.
@xero993 So explain what is the difference between the first production "arrival" between the first production? isnt it the same plane arriving at its final destination? if the Maker of the plane said its the first production aircraft and you said its not simply admit you made a mistake its ok we all make mistakes.
@kwmkc13 a couple are operational,just not declared yet.although one is.

@RichKilla86ers
I read a few articles online actually that said it is "possible" that that could be pushed up to 2015. However, take it like a grain of salt.

2016:
All F-35A/B/C are fully operational on all US service branch, and other international armed forces.
I'll be burning rubbers on my used 2014 Boss Mustang.
