She touched it in her backswing and that's part of the swing, she didn't breach the rule

@FerrarisRock in her case, it is a breach of rule. if your ball is in the sand and you touch anything in it except for when you are hitting the ball, it is a penalty. anything in the bunker that is on, next to, or around your ball has to remain there.

If there is a weed in the sand that your club touches on the backswing, is it considered a breach of the rule? If the ball lies directly in front of the weed what do you do?

the rules that ive been told that if if the club touches the sand its penalty but if a club hits a leaf or stone doesnt count as its not supposed to be there im surprised she didnt ask to be moved
