MED TV exploits increasingly affordable satellite technology to defeat censorship in Turkey.

Recently one of its regular debate shows was mysteriously disrupted by a pirate signal, just as a PKK leader was to announce a cease-fire. Prior to this, Tansu Ciller had been touring Europe asking governments not to grant MED TV satellite space. By July 1996 the station was forced off air as Turkey convinced the world that MED TV was funded by separatist PKK terrorists. But in London the ITC could find no undue political bias in MED's emissions. Many Kurdish businessmen in Europe who donate heavily to MED TV vehemently denounce an armed struggle. It is at an illegal PKK rally in Germany that ordinary Kurds support both the PKK and MED TV. In the Brussels studio a Kurdish choir sings for an independent homeland for its disparate people. When Turkey signed a $100m oil deal with Iran, the US responded by giving MED TV American satellite space. This objective report has exclusive access to MED's story and explores the need for a Kurdish identity.

@serxwebuname I already seperate Kurdish people from PKK supporters, you don't have to worry about this. Looks like you are not reading what I write here. "PKK supporters", "carrying", "PKK flag", "on the streets". Is it clear? So what are you talking about being not allowed to say "Kurdistan"? Everyone can say "Kurdistan" and call a terrorist leader as "Mister".

Seperation is the only solution? It is solution of imperialism and as Kurdish people are getting more educated, YOU WILL LOOSE.

Kurds are not muslims, it is good if their seperation from Turkey takes place and they rub shoulders with Israel and USA, it is great. I am a European, I see Kurds and Turks don't get along in my own country, how will they get along in an opressed society like Turkey? Seperation is the only solution. Kurds/Armenians/Laz/All minorities need to be free of turkish opression.

you are right about my English, it is not well. In my country, we freely learn and speak foreign languages. English is my 6th language. And FYI: Kurdish is an Indo-European language. Turkish is closest to Korean. Check your facts stupid. I will not respond back to you since you are not at my level. You are too stupid.
