@SaraCHA88 As speaker she would have more power over clinton had clinton won and tried to do things that Pelosi and Reid would not have liked she could have overriden a clinton veto because at that time she had 255 democrats in her control and harry reid had 60 dem senators the presidents job is to push for policy but the speaker and senate majority leader have to approve it which gives them more power.
