Maxi...I don't think Derrick meant any disrespect to your side of the Atlantic. Over here it was simple in 1988...there was detroit techno, chicago house, and NY garage...the sound was kindbased geographically. When I took a break from mixing in '93 and moved to NY I'd run into various DJs telling me what records were hot now. I had no idea what the hell they were talking about...all this subgenres...
