Charlie Rich was an American Grammy-award winning singer and musician. His eclectic style of music was often hard to classify, playing in the rockabilly, jazz, blues, country, and gospel genres. His first hit, "Lonely Weekends," reached the top 30 in 1960. He is perhaps best remembered for a pair of 1973 hits, "Behind Closed Doors" and "The Most Beautiful Girl". "The Most Beautiful Girl" reached #1 on both the country and pops charts. In the latter part of his life he acquired the nickname The Silver Fox. This selection is from his hit album Behind Closed Doors released in 1973.
