Underrated band...no doubt

Awesome song by an incredible band. This brings back memories I would like to forget, but that will never happen. 20 years ago, I was in love with my best friend’s wife, and I am still not over her. I think about her almost every day, and I cannot get over what I did to my best friend. If it was not for "that little gold ring", I would be married to her today.

@Aramis6849 I was at that concert (as well as a number of Beach Boys concerts). It was awesome. I had some of it on cassette tape once upon a time. Don't now what happened to it.

R.I.P. Rob. You will always live through your music....

Doesnt sound like bekiblu liked my comment. The Roots play their instruments on tour . They just wanted a better sound on their records. Lots of big stars used the Wrecking Crew and were damn glad the were around to be on their records. just sayin.

@molly688 who cares? shut-up

Truth be told it was the Wrecking Crew that play the instruments on most of those hits. The Grass Roots were a made up deal like the Monkees. But they did let the guitarist Creed Bratton play with them because he was pretty good. Wiki Wrecking Crew folks. They played on dozens of hit records in the 50's 60's and 70's. Every thing from the theme to Bonanza ,Green Acres, Batman to Sonny and Cher, Beach Boys etc etc. Glen Campbell was there ace guitar player and played guitar on hundreds of hits.

In the entire history of Rock n' Roll; only 9 bands (including The Beatles) have charted more hits on Billboard's Hot 100 than The Grass Roots.
They hold the all-time attendance record for a one act U.S. concert of 600,000 people on July 4th, 1982 in Washington, DC.
During a 6-year period (1967-1972) The Grass Roots set a record for being on the Billboard charts an unbelievable 307 straight weeks and have sold over 20 million records worldwide....
