Ryan Mathison's high speed CNC machines are amazing! They are the most economical way to get into high speed machining. Ryan also makes five axis machines using a variety of products. I saw him at WESTEC cutting a 5-axis impeller at 40,000 RPM and 700 ipm truely amazing. If you need a specialty machine visit www.SDECNC.com

High feed mills buddy. not high speed inserts. Get your terminology right before calling me out. Look again. You are clearly not a Machinist if you think 100 IPM is max. These cutters are designed to spin 5K (1018 mat) and feed .03/tooth. The 1 " has 3 teeth. Figure it out.

  • @HertzCOD4 yea i call bs on that. we had iscar out at our shop testing high speed inserts for hard metals with a 1" insert cutter, running stainless steel, the max feedrate was 100 ipm @ 5k rpm

  • 300 IPM isn't that fast with todays technology. I use Iscar high feed mills and I usually spin them at 5000 rpm in Mils Steel and feed 450 IPM with ease. And thats a 1" cutter.

  • I made some windmill blades at 300 ipm with 1/2" bit and 1/4" cut on a 15 year old machine
