  • hi bro i wanna start to jiu jitsu no bjj is there altso those takedowns in normal jiu jitsu (jushinkan)??

  • @alvorligkurder jigoru kano took the samurai art of japanese jiu jitsu and retained only moves that could be used at full power to turn the combat art into a sport. I imagine that japanese jiu jitsu takedowns would be like judo with more dangerous takedowns incorporated. in this video most of the takedowns were wrestling with some judo throws and trips

  • at 2:55 is that an mma fight on just a grappling matt of some kind of combat sambo or what? plz reply...

  • @racingmylife15 that is pankration

  • @franciscoreatas11 At 0.48 that is almost a tomo-nage. except the guy failed to hook one of the thighs and throw himself back. If done right, you will end up on top, and the harder they push the easier it will be to end up on a dominate position...

  • I really enjoy posting a leading leg when grappling a wrestler. They can not resist attacking it. I ussually get them with ouchi mata or with Tomo Nage. Sometimes I catch their neck with my forearm and elbow.

I started doing this because I realized that it was hard to prevent being taken down even by mediocre wrestlers. This way I choose their attack and the outcome

  • @alvorligkurder CHeck out Erik Paulson from CSW. He has the most complete system..

  • @alvorligkurder If you are in the U.S. find a competition/fight club Judo gym. The Japanese Jiujitsu takedowns are not practised as randori (full-free fight). You may also find a combat submission wrestling Club (lots of Judo/wrestling), and if you are lucky you may find a Sambo club. I wish I could do sambo. I train in Judo and submission wrestling in Tucson

  • notice that most of these guys did not sprawl while they were getting taken down. or do any takedown counters

  • right. no shit these guys got takendown they didnt pummel there underhooks. cool vid totally agree that 90% of the techniques work. just want to see compiles against more diverse grappelers

  • @RagingDemon89 Thanks man...but is he also tilting his body and pulling one of the legs between his own legs?

  • @2rude Break down your opponent by pulling his legs in and driving foward at his center of gravity.

  • @RagingDemon89 Thanks...what exactly are you trying to do with the legs there? Thanks in advance.

  • @2rude Double leg tackle
