This is the opening to the short "The Zax" from the animated special "Dr. Seuss on the Loose." This animated special contained "The Sneetches," "The Zax," and "Green Eggs and Ham." As a child, I watched "Dr. Seuss on the Loose" at least once a week. I noticed that none of the versions of "The Zax" on youtube have the song intro, so I uploaded the intro. I apologize for the poor quality, this was the only clip available.
Dr. Seuss on the Loose first aired in 1973. You may be able to find a VHS tape of it on ebay, or find some of the cartoons around the internet.
