Japanese Octopus Balls: Takoyaki たこ焼き

Osaka, Japan....home to such specialty foods as Takoyaki (octopus balls) and Okonomiyaki. People from Osaka are very proud of their specialty foods and for good reason; they're great! Here's a clip of me trying takoyaki for the first time. I was in Osaka around Dotonburi. Dōtonbori is officially a part of the Namba district of Osaka, south of Shinsaibashi. This is close to the Nipponbashi Bridge where loads of tourists, young people, business people, etc. drink, eat and generally have a good time.

Mmmmm... I got to try okonomiyaki in Japan and I LOVED it! I just regret the fact that we didn't stop anywhere to try takoyaki. I'm a big fan of octopus and squid... you can't keep me away from a plate of calamari!

It is pretty good stuff. I have to admit though, of the two, I'd prefer okonomiyaki! Especially since there are so many kinds :)
