JULY 18, 2008 - BC LIONS vs. WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS
Our company business partner invited us to Box Seats at the Football game. Free food, booze, and an exciting game where our home team, the BC Lions, crushed the Blue Bombers 27-18. However, the more defining and emotional event was the postgame. The BC Lions have planned a Tribute to their late President & CEO, Bob Ackles. I was able to get the entire event on video, and have decided to post it here to share it with everyone who could not attend, as the media broadcasts of this event are quite brief and lacking.

Bob Ackles, a Canadian Hall of Fame Legend who started as a waterboy for the BC Lions during their founding year in 1953 at age 15. He worked his way through the ranks to become the director of football development in 1966, assistant GM in 1971, and GM from 1975 to 1986. After which time he worked in the NFL from 1987 to 2001 for various teams: the Dallas Cowboys, Phoenix Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and the Las Vegas Outlaws. In 2002, Bob Ackles returned to Vancouver and the CFL to become President & CEO of the BC Lions, a position he held until his passing on July 06, 2008 of a sudden heart attack at age 69.

Thanks, had I not been in box seats with a mini table tripod...I doubt I could have gotten all this.
