Gawker reports that Tesla spinmeister Daryl Siry left the Silicon Valley startup because CEO Elon Musk (above) was pushing to accept deposits on the Model S sedan. The Model S (a.k.a. WhiteStar) exists only as a prototype. Tesla has no factory or financing with which to build it.

As for Elon Musk, I believe his success with Paypal previously and the roadster so far is more believable of a testimony for his ability than you shouting on youtube.. No disrespect.

Elons musk is not a genius, he is a corrupt plaugarist, who invests in underfunded american companies, pulls off hostile takeovers, removes the designers, claiming the designs are his. @lassiecox If you are going to burn the hydrogen to create work it needs to be fed into a combustion chamber. If you are going to "stick an electrode into water" said electrode will need electricity. I'm all for progress, but there is a rate beyond which progress is damaging. You cannot destroy entire industries overnight. What of the myriad employees who's families depend on them for survival. Guys like Elon are practical geniuses. He sees the business world as it is. Tesla needed an MBA.

@plebshadowofra brown gas need not be stored, fed to combustion chamber. . electric energy has a source, sun, coal, gas, ethanole, nuclear, whatever, the batteries are themselves a non-renewable resource, and have to be replaced and disposed of. I would like to see what lies beyond the electromagnetic spectrum and the resonant frequencies that reside there, an eventual never ending source of energy, permitting weightlessness in earths atmosphere. angels have wings ha ha ha. I seek truth

@lassiecox Yes, or, instead of running electricity through a solution to generate hydrogen that needs to be packaged and distributed (which requires further energy as it has mass...) you can just plug the Tesla directly into the grid. Electricity has a bit less mass than liquid hydrogen....

Over time, cleaner sources of energy for the grid, will see extremely low emission technologies on a net net basis.

you can stick an electrode into water at the right amplitude and frequency and separate hydrogen from oxygen, creating brown gas, which is used as a combustant, in the combustion engine, the discovery came after elons investment in the laptop battery powered car, and is the future of transportation. Lookup the patents on various electrodes currently under litigation, holding the entire progression back.
