hi there.... great performance.............. so amazing.................. by the way, i'm planning to get an electone. which is more user friendly an EL90 or EL900m?

Nice playing just a bit slower would be good.. Wonder how it would sound on the Roland atelier series.....

@sohotsoefy go to chappells of bond street web site. they have every piece of sheet music in the world

Very well played although a little faster than i think Mr. Stanley intended. However it's technically superb and highly enjoyable. Thank you. I own four teenagers and they all wear trainers - even with suits - so i know where you're coming from.

@aBachwardsfellow -- on a different note (or rather, several-thousands of notes...) -- as dear to my heart as the Baroque is, I HAVE to say, "HO-LY COW!!!" on that 1992 Yamaha Electone Finalist performance!!! YIKES! I think even Bach would stand and applaud that one! What a fantastic, superb combination of musicianship, talent and technology! KUDOS BEACOUP! ... and thanks for posting that -- keep 'em coming!

@brittmusic - yep -- I like this one too! :-) - been playin' it quite a few times -- haven't heard anything noticeable in the trills -- could have been different, but they're not bad at all. While you can't beat a REALLY GOOD pipe organ in a REALLY GOOD room, it's hard to get access to those !! Too often the pipe organs we hear and play are much less than optimal -- and unfortunantly the sound can't be customized the way you can an EL-90 !!! - a very nice registration & performance!!

hey! can you upload the sheet??? here in italy is not possible to find it! please :(
A good tempo for a 'performance' of this piece (around 140). For an actual processional, I would drop it to around 122-128 and expand the trumpet a bit - instead of tah - di-di - di- tah, more at tah - di-tah - di-tah; not just slower, but with attitude and plenty of punch. Close your eyes and think of ushering a princess down the aisle - see the majesty, pomp, and adoration - royality should not be rushed - I'd love to hear you play it like that. Do you also play the 'traditional' organ?

@aBachwardsfellow thanks for the comment; i've heard it played so many ways, i like this one, there were a few spots where the trumpet trills didn't come out the way i wanted, i've played pipe organs before, but not too much

Hi there!
What an excellent performance here. I'm stunned by the quality of the organ sound and the realistic trumpet sound (with aftertouch) on an organ of that age. Yamaha has always been the best :-) !!!!
Is that reverb also from the Yamaha or is it added by the Roland Digital recorder (I use the Roland VS-1680)?
Greetings, Robert

@robbiedoesNL The reverb is built in to the EL-90. Nothing was added by the Roland Digital Recorder.

Surfing amongst the Stanley waves I dropped in on this one thinking, "Wow, that's pretty neat for a young teen-aged boy! He does well and should have a full AGO keyboard to jam on!" Apologies, Mr. Cawthon, but those dancing, pigeon-toed sneakers faked me out !
