xGPS for iPhone. Awesome application that allows offline maps. Version 2.0 is in the works but this one is 1.2.7.

  • Auto Rotation is actually when map itself rotates, its not related to screen orientation.

  • @DarkAgent80 oh cool, thanks for that:) cheers!

  • no its a ipod touch anyway i found out the problem it is saying that i need a password or something can u help me with that

  • @OD2408 an iPod Touch does not have built in GPS does it? You will need to use an external GPS paired with the iPod Touch; is that your set up right now?

  • @marktesch i have a bluetooth gps receiver, how can i use it with the ipod without using btstack or royaqt?

  • @lucirz Hi, I have never tried it myself but I'm pretty sure you can just pair it directly through the bluetooth settings on the iPod Touch. If you have a jailbroken iPod Touch, you might want to try SerialGPS from Cydia. Sorry I can't be of more help as I have never tried pairing with an external bluetooth GPS receiver before.

  • @marktesch The iPod Touch does NOT have a built in GPS. The way the iPhone finds your current location is through cell towers (triangulation), the iPod Touch does it through WiFi, meaning you have to login to a hotspot before you start using it.

  • @SakuraSolidMarker hi, I am not sure of a GPS-enabled application, but there is a free application on the iTunes AppStore that will allow you to download bus maps and stuff. It's called Transit Maps, just search for it on AppStore, it's free and the maps can be used offline as well. Hope this helps.

  • @OD2408 Hi, the issue could be with your internal GPS. Please see that you have selected the internal GPS in the settings. If you are still having trouble, there could be something wrong with the GPS chip in your phone. This happened to my iPhone 3G in the past. Had to get a new iphone because having it repaired is too costly.

Hope this helps. Try getting a lock as well in the open before entering your car.
