@novawolverine True. But people like Shonie Carter, Bob Sapp, and to a degree Rampage Jackson are the kind of African men that make people more comfortable versus Jon Jones and Anderson Silva. Thanks for posting.

It pisses me off that a lot of people don't like Jon Jones because they think he's cocky, when the reality is that he doesn't act like a buffoon the way Rampage Jackson does.

@blueiguy1 Jack Johnson would say it is not new. I agree with you. Rua is not Amerindian. Thanks for posting.

This is new ? hatred towards black success is nothing new. People wan't to see their "tribe" in charge. And being as primitive that MMA can be (i mean that in a good way ). Racism is a natural instinct that can occur . A "brazilian" would be an "Amerindian" those who declare themselves that and are not are Portuguese.
LOL I workout at a MMA training sight & I've heard how College Football players that don't stand a chance at the NFL draft becoming a success in the MMA. LOL I really don't care for MMA because is too barbaric for me. Plus corny how these so called Martial Arts Masters getting their butt kick by some bums from the street in MMA tournament. Right now I find interest how a lot of white-Americans & most Asian-Americans want to see an American get put down by Manny Pacquio. Race does matter

@lilrog0909 UFC 140 was barbaric with that arm break, but I do enjoy it. You are right race does matter. Reminds me of a good book you might want to pick up -- Race Matters by Cornel West. I don't get your point about Pacquio. Thanks for posting.

i think racism is against the asian brothas. The black brothas are always beefin one another in mma

@sinistercharlie If we are talking about western mass entertainment I would agree with you. Asian men are truly invisible and race is the number one factor. In MMA Asians have not developed and evolved as quickly as the Americans and Brazilians over the last five years and are clearly behind. But don't complain too much soon it will be your turn again to lead the world in business and commerce. Thanks for posting.

@OTKP I don't know if you are old enough to remember when Doug Williams won the Super Bowl XXII MVP as quarterback. At that time some people were still suggesting that an African American could not lead a team to a Super Bowl victory. I am sure the MVP award made it even sweeter for him. Thanks for posting.
