I think it's less about the concept of doing this in general/the editing of this, and more about the specific idea of mashing Gilmore Girls and Girls, which is pretty brilliant.

Not sure why this particular faux credit sequence has gotten so much attention. Random clips set to a different TV show's theme? Been done a million times, and often far better. Not particularly well edited, not at all done so there's some connection between the music/words and the chosen clips.
