I prayed with him and nothing came out! All I could here was him repeating the same words! The Holy Spirit gave no words to say! That's why I believe only certain people have this gift and the rest of us don't have it! It's meaningless to try and teach this and frustrating!

Ive been praying to receive the gift after i saw this speech of derek prince.

Should i first break all the curses in my life??I believe i already did.

I still smoke cigarettes though,and still have some other sins like i find it hard simetimes to actually honour my dad for instance.

I love him,but i think he s wrog and get anoyyed by him allt he time.

Maybe thats whats blocking me to receive this gift??

Someone please pray for me,and that i will receive this gift.

@JawsBrink You will never make yourself righteous enough to receive the Holy Spirit and manifest the gifts. Smoking is not what is blocking you. A gift from God is un-earned and un-deserved. Please review my other videos on the gifts.

Wow. I prayed this prayer and tried to speak in tongues at the end of the video. Nothing happened and I felt really dumb, so I turned it off and laid down for a nap.5 minutes later I literally sat up in bed, exclaimed "oh!" and began speaking in tongues. I praise the Lord for this, and I thank you for allowing Him to use you, through this video, to talk about the truth of speaking in tongues.

I began studying moreon the gift of tongues and was ready to receive. I had once been afraid of it, but as I studied more I came across this video and prayed for the gift, believing I had received. Nothing happened instantly. I began to spend time with God over a week after, continuing to believe and wait for the gift to manifest. A full week later, I went to my room, entered into worship and about 10 minutes into it....the gift came out. Such a GREAT EXPERIENCE!! GOD IS GREAT!!

There is one part of me that knows your right,its a gift of merci,and cannot earn it.

Still i cant help myselfe believing it must be something that is blocking me.

It a struggle

I also have lots of occult experiences lately.

Im not possesed,But i do feel they are attached as like Rus Dizdar describes it.

I actually see them at night,around my bed.

So thats why i keep thinking they must be blocking it or something.

But thanks for the prayers,i appreciate it.

@skySAviour312 me too. i usually cry harder during those moments..and i feel soo vulnerable, but in a good way..like i've just laid everything in God's hands and all will be alright.. i get this strong feeling of peace and reassurance, and i feel loved in return. I believe it is the Holy Spirit of God.
