Some of our most cherished childhood memories are of the 5 of us watching movies together. We remember the early years of the AMC channel (American Movie Classics) where we'd watch the Alfred Hitchcock marathons, knew the names of people like Gregory Peck and Humphrey Bogart, danced with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in our pajamas, and were awestruck by the colorful world of Oz.

As a kid, how could you not reenact the light saber battles between Luke and Darth Vader? Every word of these unforgettable films--yes, even the alien dialogue from Star Wars--would be memorized and quoted in daily conversation. We watched the Sound of Music too many times to count, knowing every song by heart (thanks to Maria, we learned all of our solfege before we even stepped foot into Juilliard). And obviously what kid doesn't have a fantasy world that includes Snow White, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Belle and all the fairy tale adventures portrayed by Disney.

Today, we continue to be creatively inspired by great films and the amazing scores that bring them to life--and we know we're not the only ones. So let the music wash over you. You'll probably agree...the memories are never very far behind.

  • hi, i read an artikel about you guys in a dutch newspaper, and thought it could be nice to look it up. its a really good performance to play up to each other, do you write some of your own numbers too or do you only play covers? anyways im glad some "younger" persons are still up to playing classic music. good luck at festival classique today, and most important, have fun in playing. you inspired me with this, so i believe your chances are really high to inspire the rest of the world too! ;)

  • I just saw you guys in concert in Utah and was absolutely stunned. You are now my absolute favorite thing to listen to. This medley brings back so many memories. Thank you for everything you do. :)
