  • Bonjour!

Love to know more about Cajun culture,i enjoyed the video, could understand a bit of the French they use,it's lovely.

I m getting married to a Cajun boy!!:) so i m learning a bit about it.

    Thanks.

  • Congratulations with your wedding.

There's a lot more cajun on youtube !!!

  • Comment ca va, Chere ami! I am a proud cajun, born in Lake Charles, La and raised in Crowley and Lafayette, La. The talented accordian player in this video is Robert Jardell. He is my cousin.

Robert Jardell is a well known cajun music accordianist, who has recorded many CDs of french music. Check one out, its fantastic .

    Bon soir, mes amis!

  • Robert Jardell is really a very good accordionist.

I love his playing and can learn a lot through listening to him.

  • Why are the sub titles in Dutch???

  • The movie is a part of a documantary that was broadcast on the Dutch television.

    That was many years ago.

There's also a part about Zydeco with Geno Delafose on my account.

  • un petit bonjour de france!

  • great clip!

  • that aint no ordinary french

  • Yes and it's up to people like you to keep it alive. :-)

  • I'm from Hawaii and I LOVE Cajun music and culture. For a long time Pidgin English was looked down upon, much like Cajun French. But, thank some enlightened linguists they recognize Pidgin English as a real language with real grammar. I love it when DL Menard says that Cajun French is its own language..their own language.

  • i'm french-canadian.. and i speak french..

but i have noooo idea what they're saying in that last song.

  • Love it.Love it. Love it!!!!
