I'm from Hawaii and I LOVE Cajun music and culture. For a long time Pidgin English was looked down upon, much like Cajun French. But, thank some enlightened linguists they recognize Pidgin English as a real language with real grammar. I love it when DL Menard says that Cajun French is its own language..their own language.
