This is a complete list of the organ tracks played in the "Fairground Organ" loop played by Merry-Go-Rounds and Carousels in Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2.

These tracks were originally recorded in 1976 by the C.J. Mead Organisation, from a Voigt Model 35 69-Keyless Street/Band Organ at Bressingham Steam Museum, Norfolk. Called the Bressingham Voigt, it remained there for many years, but was eventually sold and now performs in the Netherlands. The record was owned by Chris Sawyer's father, and it's tracks were used in both RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 & 2. From what I understand, all of these songs are original arrangements from the Ruth Fair Organ Company.

Each of these eleven videos contain one of the songs, are numbered in the order they appeared in in-game lists and on the original LP, with the name of the song, as well as it's original writer.

#1: Children of the Regiment (Die Regimentskinder Marsch) [Julius Fucik]
#2: Heken's Serenade [John Heyken]
#3: In Continental Mood [Unknown]
#4: Wedding Journey [Traditional]
#5: Tales from the Vienna Woods [Johann Strauss]
#6: Slavonic Dance [Traditional]
#7: Das Alpenhorn [Traditional]
#8: The Blond Sailor [Traditional]
#9: Poet & Peasant Overture [Franz van Suppe]
#10: Waltz Medley [Johann Strauss]
#11: Bella Bella Bimba [Traditional]

  • Hi I am Jim in New York I like this Music what is the organ make and Model that you used . It is a very good organ . sounds Like a Ruth and Sohn > Thank you

  • @snakepiano3 The information that I know is in the description of the video.

  • What Slavonic Dance is it?

  • I do not know.

The game and the original record states only "Slavonic Dance," and I haven't really looked into the 'true' title.

  • If someone finds the true title of this "Slavonic Dance", I'd be very grateful. I've checked with the current owner of the organ (in the Netherlands) but he doesn't know it either.

  • You have access (or have had access) to the owner of the organ, and, presumably, the organ itself?

Is the organ still exhibited or shown or what have you anywhere?

If so, would it be possible to get footage of the organ in it's current condition?

  • @snakepiano3 The organ is from original build by the firm Ruth and son (Waldkirch Germany). The company Ruth went bankruptcy , and sold all the organ (those were in stock) to the firm Voigt in Frankfurt am main (Germany). The company voigt build the organ complete and sold it to a fairground company in Austria. A few owners later, bought a dutch showmen the organ, and it's still in the Netherlands. At the moment is the dutch showman @oliebol100 (H. Riddering) the owner of this beautifull organ.

  • The slavonic dance is not traditional - this piece is by Dvorak. :)

  • At the very least, I can tell you that it isn't any of Anton Dvorak's Slavonic Dances. Unfortunately, that is the limit of my knowledge.

  • I saw the organ twice in the Netherlands, three years ago (at Arnhem and Ulvenhout), but as I don't have a videocamera, I don't have any footage of it, alas ... It was in good playing condiiton, though.
