At least that kid could get that game. His mom doesn't care about the arm-cannon and robot enemies. Also, I got Call of Duty 4 from Best Buy when I was 14 and they didn't say anything. I'm going to laugh at the priceless moments in this kids life:
-14 years old - first PG movie: Shrek
-17 years old - First PG-13 movie: Spider Man
-18 - First T-rated game: Guitar Hero II
-24 - First R-rated movie: Rain Man
-30 - Plays Halo, doesn't get it, goes on shooting spree and kills his family.

Yea they rate the games M for strong language, but parent can turn the box around and see what the game has that has earned that rating. If a Parent thinks that their kid can handle strong language then they'll over look it. What do you expect parents to do? play the games themselves? Thats why the ESRB is there to tell people what is in the game that parents might not want their kids to see. If it wasn't for the ESRB, the Government would be censoring games like they used to do with movies.
