Obviously I had a script for this. But I had no script for my next video, LOL
PART ONE: Drawing your character
I draw in red for my sketch, then ink it in black overtop
To use the colour replacement tool;
set your FOREGROUND as the colour you want to CHANGE
And the BACKGROUND as the colour you want to change it to
I made my eraser bigger
And right clicked and drag to erase my red sketch
Here is my character. I saved this as "1" because it's my FIRST FRAME
PART TWO:
Creating your frames.
I saved my image as frame "1"
I took the star-shaped select tool and selected around the eyelid
then dragged down the selection a little.
Usually I don't use this technique, but it can be faster for some animations.
I saved this as frame "2"
I redraw the eyelid comepletely for a more natural movement.
This is my usual technique.
I saved this as frame "3"
Then I kept redawing and saving the frames as DIFFERENT files until the eye was closed.
PART THREE:
Editing in Windows Movie Maker
Movie maker is in all versions of windows, you can find it in "All Programs" in the start bar.
Go to sidebar and click "Import pictures" and select all your frames
Bring all your frames in the timeline at the bottom.
If you don't see a timeline, you can click the "show timeline" button or Ctrl-t
After you get all the frames in the timeline, shrink them all down so they play faster. You can zoom in to shrink them even more.
At this point he only closes his eyes. Bring all the frames in reverse order so he opens them.
Sometimes I redraw the frames so he opens them but I'm feeling laaaaaazy.
Shrink those down too.
You can edit it so he closes his eyes for a extra moment, or delete every other frame when he opens his eyes so they open faster.
how do you change the background .... and the foreground .... what to press what to use ...
aceremo2 1 year ago
@aceremo2 Well you could change the colour of your lineart with colour replacement tool I suppose. And you could paste every frame onto the same background and underneath the tools you click the bottom option to make transparent background; make your backgound colour white using right click
