Performed by Jason "Sweettooth" Williams
*Recorded live, 10-31-08*

THINGS TO RUIN is an incendiary collection of songs by Kleban and Larson Award Winner Joe Iconis, (writer of THE BLACK SUITS.) Directed by John Simpkins, T2R is a theatrical rock concert about human beings who are messy, emotional, drugged up, knocked down, inspired, electric and who dont have nearly enough time to cause the kind of commotion they so desperately need to. Performed by a cast of viciously talented young singers and a highly flammable four-piece band led by Joe himself, 'Things to Ruin' rocks with an occasionally profane and always heartfelt explosion of music and high drama.

A MESSAGE FROM JOE
Well hello there, little darlin. Im very happy youre entertaining the notion of coming to check out my show, THINGS TO RUIN, at the Zipper this fall. In fact Im damn near thrilled about it. This show is going to feature my tunes in a context you probably havent seen before, so lets get a couple things clear.

*First, this aint no Jamboree. This is an honest-to-goodness Theatrical Experience! No banter (forbidden) and no drinking (well, not during the show, anyway). Just balls-to-the-wall music theater and good, old fashioned rock and roll.

*The cast is killer, made up of your favorite family members (SweetTooth! Lance! Katrina!), some neighbors we havent seen in a while and some brand new friends. I should hope youll be cordial to everyone and make all the new kids feel at home.

*Were doing Four Shows and were gonna need a lot of butts in the seats. Please tell your friends, family members, and anyone who will listen to come and check us out. No one will be disappointed, I promise.

*Keep checking back on this page and on my website for updated info about the show itself and about post show festivities. (Including a Halloween costume contest and all sorts of other rockin stuff.)

  • lol thats great

  • Dudes- THINGS TO RUIN (the show this performance is from) is running at the Zipper Theater in NYC every Friday night in January and February 2009. Check the Zipper website for details. Its a theatrical rock concert of Joe Iconis tunes and its pretty badass, if I do say so myself!

  • Nick loves the taste.
