  • Michael you're awesome!

  • He was just in out guitar class today! and he played this song... He is amazing!

  • Beginning more clearly at about 0'50" it's variations of a trad. finnish melody in 5/4 time. It actually has no name, but the melody can be used for the singing of our national epic Kalevala. It's pentatonic, so it sounds quite oriental... All of Kalevala (in finnish) can be sung using this melody or any of many variations of it.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • What an amazing melody, what a great performance! Thanks for uploading it.

  • Good job man.

  • I would've been tempted to shout GET ON WITH IT half way through just to liven the evening up. lol!

Seriously - this guy is awesome, inspiring.

  • Thank you for these nice variations! It's always nice to hear melodies from my home country. :)

  • The Finnish national Epos, "Kalevala" is sung with this melody. This is a very beautiful version of this theme, of course the beauti needs a good player - the composer is lucky to have found one. Stepan Rak has also made excellent versions of many our (finnish) folk songs-I've been able to hear them in live concerts a couple of times.

  • Incredible Maestro. Your performance of Bryan's concerto was amazing as well. Thankyou.
