@mattblader you are so concerned with "Power".Paul writes that chrity is the best gift of all& that we should seek it.why dnt you boast about that? this is how i know u dnt have any baptism of the holy spirit becuase u dnt have the heart2understand simple scripture.loves surpasses all wisdom.Y should any church have this power when they dnt even have the gutts2defend simple issues that we face today??? Churches in america are a bussiness so no u will not have any power cuz ur heart is not right.

@mattblader yes Gods power is real, but you never raised anyone from the dead, you must understand this. you may speak in tongues which is one of the fruits of the spirit, but you have not raised anyone from the dead. seek charity my friend... speaking in tongues perhaps, but the actuall power of the holy spirit- dnt think so, if you say you have this then raise the dead, thats what paul did...

@solidust23 We do though! It's not from us, but from the Holy Spirit. John 14:12-14 says that we will do greater things than Jesus did and whatever we ask in His name will be given to us. Luke 24:49 says we will be clothed with God's power. Jesus only did what He saw the Father do, and we are supposed to live as Jesus did. So if God tells us to raise someone from the dead or heal the sick, we should. God has used many people i know to heal the sick. God's power is real here and now.

@borecleaner1 Correct. people confuse the gifts of tongue with the power of the holy spirit. they do not have the power of the holy spirit they simply have the gift of speaking in tongues, which is no greater than any of the other gifts. charity is the supreme gift, but the power of the holy spirit is something else...and if anyone claims to have this ask them when have they rasied the dead,or heal the sick. the pentacostle church is jst attracted to power instead of love, and they have niether
