A very acceptable way of juicing wheatgrass, if you cannot afford one of those overpriced wheatgrass-specific juicers out there in the green yuppie market. You will need a blender with a mill attachment, a pasta strainer and a fork.

@Aerosmithism It's somewhat true, the blender oxidizes the wheatgrass. which in turn, you can lose a substantial amount. That, and you can't squeeze as much liquid out as you would in a manual juicer.

@ranjitdeepshikha yea you could, but you wont get the same nutrients as you would from the first cut.

I heard that you should juice it with a juicer, blending it some how decreases the minerals\vitamins in the grass is that correct? They both look and taste the same.

@Aerosmithism I'm not too sure it does indeed make a noticeable difference. The theory is that the friction and the heat generated by the blender will "burn" some of the nutrients. Even if that were the case, it could be easily compensated by putting in a few more blades of grass than you were going to use in the first case : )

hi pl Can we keep using the same wheat plant to get new wheat grass again & again or every time you need a fresh wheat germ to grow

@ranjitdeepshikha I don't know. In my case (in London) the grass only grew once after the first cut, and then it went brown. I think it will depend on the environment, how low you cut, the quality of the seed itself, etc.
