  • GOSH! This has to be the most inspirational video I've seen when it comes to vocal technique. I just had an epiphany.

  • Just the title alone got me, I knew exactly what you meant. My first passion is dancing and I understand that my body and movements are the vision; they tell the story. However, I love to sing as well, so to relate "make the song visual" to something I know I"m missing when I sing was very helpful. Keep making these videos because not only do we need help with technique we need someone to speak about what we should emote as we are singing.

  • Haha, I also do my best singing and thinking in the shower. ^^

  • whatever voice you have be true to yourself my voice is more mellow too but sometimes you dont need acrobatics or power notes to hit home with your audience just feel what you sing

  • *17-18 oops P

  • this video touched me because im applying for Young Arts national advacnement of the arts for highschool students aged 16-17 and one of their MAJOR requirements for singers is to be able to CAPTIVATE their audience and interpret the song to the audience with emotion. I have a tough time with that because I get shy and i don't want to feel vulnerable to ppl because my self esteem is not where its supposed to be

  • Going through a bunch of your videos lately. Your comments in this one reminds me of when I asked blues singer Paul Rishell how he approached a song. He said, "I just get out of the way." I loved that.

  • fantastic advice...thanks for lesson, will take it all on board for my next song..and following performances.. cheers mate
