This is an "Unfinished Version" of the Irish ballad - "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen."
It is experimental & improvisational. One should not compare this version completely with the Original Tune.
Written by Thomas Paine Westendorf (1848-1923) for his wife, Jenny, who was born in Ireland. He was a very poor musician and they were living in America at the time, when he wrote this song. It became a "hit" in his day and they were able to use the money from the song's success to finally return to Ireland.
Live Performance and "improvisation on the original tune," sung á capella by Amadea (Mezzo-Soprano). February 2008.
oh how lovely. and the story behind the song! wow!
