For my first video, I am comparing the structure of the zygomassetic systems of Erethizo dorsatum and Sciurus carolinensis. Both organisms are in the order Rodentia, but fall into different classifications based on jaw structure. This is an example of how internal phylogeny can give us hints for classifying animals into groups based on physical traits when we do not have genetic information available. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! :)
