  • Can't get enough of this record, it's just so RAW.

  • said..daddy daddy daaaaady!!!!!! I had the WLP of this version bought it for about 5 bucks--went for almost 500 on the "BAY!!!!!!!

  • Is there any available sheet music for this song? If so, LEAD ME TO IT! (seriously, I want to sing this song!)

  • Hey thanks this is great. I have a version from "the contours essential collection" CD which has just about the most out of tune singing i've ever heard- the soloist starts off almost in tune with the piano but keeps getting flatter and the backing singers were even worse and kept pulling him down till they were almost a tone flat!!! so its nice 2 hear it more in tune :)

  • Note to iffenwhat:

    AGREED!

This original version is the **BEST!!**

And...my personal ALL-TIME UBER-MEGA-ULTRA RAVE-FAVE of The Contours' **ENTIRE** recorded output!

    Thanx fer this, m8..

  • Well you learn something everyday. Many thanks.

  • I remember when this came out. And I do agree, that this first version is the best version. I never thought that I would ever hear this again. I recently saw one of The Contours at a gospel brunch at a hotel here in Detroit. I mentioned to him that I had been a fan ever since "Whole Lotta Woman". He was surprised that I remembered this record. How could you forget.

  • I like this song, and yeah this version is much better than the others.

Also mate I do like how you give a little bit of history into the records also, it is important people know what they're listening to and the background of it

    Keep The Faith!

  • Rare 45! The Supremes', "I Want A Guy" was suposed to come out with this number, great song.
