I am good friend's with Brian Griffiths. He moved from England to Calgary in the 70's ,worked at a Music store called Mr. Entertainment. The store was sold in the 90's and Brian moved on and continues to teach guitar in his home studio in Calgary.
Good guy Brian.

@knowledgeiswhatsup : That was Brian Epstein. He had very fixed ideas about how his groups should look and behave. The Big Three ultimately proved too much for him (I seem to remember reading how he gave them money to buy their first lot of suits, and they promptly blew the lot on beer!). Now if someone like Andrew Oldham had had control of 'em ....

To the poster who asked...Johnny Hutchinson was born in Malta;;I met a guy in Liverpool who said he'd reuphostered the seats in his vintage car....He lived in the South end of Liverpool last time I spoke to him and climbed a high chimney to rescue a kitten..he was in the 'Liverpool Echo' and I traced him from that for an author...On a boat one night he advised me not to miss the band downstairs..Cyril davies playing harmonica..two singers Rod Stewart and Long John Baldry on a Mersey ferry..WOW !

Johnny Hutch was right footed and left handed predominantly,,,,he had to 'swipe' the hi hat sideways ...everyone copied him (Ringo!) they were called cass and the casanovas..Lennon,Mcartney and Harrison would sit in the front shouting out requests in the cavern...Hutchie had an 'Ajax' drum kit and good cymbals as I recall....If you can, find 'Cavern Stomp' by the big 3...absolutely blistering....A real knock down drag out rock'n roll band...I loved them,

Wow! I never realised the number was written by the two giants in rock'nroll business. Thank you very much for showing us the label.

The Big Three were the best live band in Liverpool in the early 60's. Some Other Guy was recorded as demo for Decca on their way back from Hamburg, the band was furious when it was released as a single. The bass is almost inaudible and the intro has been cut.. Brain Griffiths was a fantastic guitarist, at this time playing a cheap Vox guitar through a homemade amp and speakers as did Johnny Gustafson on Framus Bass. Johnny Hutchinson was the only completely ambidextrous drummers I have seen.
What a shame they could not put on record the noise, power and excitment they put over on stage.I saw them live a couple of times,at the Piller club in Liverpool and the California,Dunstable
One of the best bands I have ever seen along with The Pirates,Power ,sheer power but listening to this, you cant belive it.Great bands in Liverpool at the time,The Chants,Mojos,King Size Taylor,Big Three,Undertakers It went on and on.Great days gone forever.

Some other guy was done by Richie Barret......and every liverpool group....The Big 3 were legends and the stories about them abounded...like the time they were fighting and broke the steering wheel in the van....Hutchie drove up from london with a stillson self grip wrench clamped to the big nut on top of the steering wheel as the wheel had disintegrated....what a rock'n roll band Jeeeeeez
