  • Clara's voice matched her personality. What the hell did the studio want?

  • its funny how jean harlow got fameoff of the same high pitched brooklyn speech. And jeanthe city.she looked a little older than 26.

  • 20,000 is too much to loose nowadays.

  • i have like 28 movies of clara bow,....and every time i watch one of her movies i like her more....even in her talkies.

  • I read Runnin Wild by David Sten over 20 years ago, and once saw him at a 1920s film event and asked him about the idea of a film of her life, he was interested in this but I have heard nothing about him getting this off the ground.

It is time a good film was made about real Hollywood lives and the true stars' origins in the 20s. Her life would be perfect for this- if the right actress could be found.

  • my favorite actress of all time.. bar none... she was treated like crap at Paramount but still managed to be a #1 box office star from 1926-1930. They should have given her better roles like Barbara Stanwyck roles but she was so burned out.. She just said screw you Hollywood and never came back. I wish she would have lived longer(died in 1965) to have written her autobiography or least been interviewed. She was so unique.

  • Thankfully i now understand why she wasnt in Hollywood on Parade 8A/8A thanks for uploading this. So paramount canceled her contract due to her life problems. now i know why they were using a waxwork figure of her. although her husband Rex Bell was allowed in the paramount short.

  • Now you know where Liza Minnelli got her "look" for the part of Sally Bowles in movie Cabaret.

  • @rickylee93274 Colleen Moore was too.

  • @windyfields I think the life expectancy of people in the early 1900's was 44....
