Do you think the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission has any idea of what they are doing?????

Native American's addressing the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission, August 2012. There are no words which we can say that would make the exchange between the Planning Commission with the Native Americans okay.

The disrespect mentioned in the hearing came from the developers side. Castle & Cooke is who Paul Macarro, Pechanga Cultural Coordinator is talking about when he says "take your chances with the Planning Commission, take your changes". Paul continues to say this is why we are here. Later on Michele Fahley, Pechanga Legal Counsel addresses the Commission and one of the Commissioners, Mike O'Neal got extremely combative with her (most of which was not captured on this first video from what I have been told it's on another video). Michele does repeat what Hardy Stroizer, Castle & Cookes rep said to the Pechanga at the initial meeting with the City of Lake Elsinore Staff, "Take your chances at the planning commission, take your chances YOU WON'T GET ANYTHING". The old gray haired man who walks up to the dais while Paul is talking (which is a no no) is Hardy Stroizer Castle & Cookes rep, who we have been told meets with Mike O'Neal, planning commissioner weekly for lunch (whatever), wonder who else on the Planning Commission or City Council they meet with and what do they get out of this? This land is also over 1,000 acres of Brownfield and from what I have heard that was not addressed, Brownfield is toxic waste caused by mining. In fact at the Planning Commission meeting it was noted they sent out letters to the public saying the land is only 100 acres, and it's no big deal they didn't put in the right number of 1000 plus acres, they went on to say the City Council can address this issue. When this went before the City Council late September 2012, this was not addressed not even mentioned by the City Staff. The City Council passed it 5 to 0. As an afterthought Mayor Tisdale asked when they would begin the project and they said in maybe 20 to 25 years (nothing in writing or a contract), the reclamation time was not even a consideration. Lake Elsinore gives Castle & Cooke what it wants, who is the city working for? Castle & Cooke and Hardy Stroizer, Planning Associates have given well over $500,00.00 in campaign contributions and donations to the City of Lake Elsinore and political campaigns for people in Lake Elsinore running for office. I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR WEBER, MORSCH, MANOS, TURNER, Johnson for City Council or MELENDEZ for Assembly I wonder, who would they work for?
