Jet turbine powered race boat at Hoopa California during last years race season. This jet engine race boat was the dominating boat in the worlds event last year until the team had a part failure which caused them the world title championship. This is the first turbine boat ever to race in the whitewater jet boat racing season. The boat was clocked during test at a whopping 135 MPH. Now that's haulin' balls on a river full of twists and turns not to mention rocks and what ever else is hiding under the river water.
Wasnt that a helicopter engine? I know there was one with a helicopter engine that was worth abot 80 grand. i was there at the races last weekend. pretty cool stuff!

firesfires I would suggest calling turbinemarinedotcom. Ask for John Arruda the owner. He rebuilds the 1450hp Lycoming T53-13B and the 1850hp Lycoming T53-703 turbines to full FAA flight specs and marinizes them.
Turbine Marine is the number one turbine company serving the Offshore powerboat raceboat and pleasure boat markets.
The 13B is $140-150,000 each. The 703 is $250,000 each. Prices subject to change +/-
