As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to invite all Illinoisans to join me in expressing gratitude for the things we may sometimes take for granted. As we work through these difficult times, it is important to remember the ways that we are blessed as a state and as a country.

So as you celebrate Thanksgiving with your friends and family, please join me in remembering those in need by giving to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, or in thanking our veterans by giving to the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund. In times like this, it is more important than ever that we stick together to help those around us.
