"Can lies pose as truth?" It happens all the time when you pick up a 'newspaper,' 'news magazine,' or tune to a 'news program' wherein 'news' = entertainment = fiction = lie. In other words, lies are treated as entertaining bits of fiction that are passed off as the truth and 'reported,' if you can call it that, as the 'news.'

I remember when Reagan revoked the Fairness Doctrine. The media hasn't been the same since.
the people are brainwashed , it is like that for every important piece of information on the net , people are more worried about what britney and paris are doing this week . It is very sad indeed but it is not the fault of the majority . most people have so much going on in there lives that they do not take the time to stop and smell the roses .
smell them my brother for the end of days is near.

I watched Cokie Roberts, George Will, and the rest on Sunday mornings back in the 70s-80s. Even Brit Hume. They were actual journalists. It just boggles my mind what they have become and the "standards" they now embrace.
