At a $20 to $25 price point you'll get a lot of quality knife with a Byrd Raven. It's an offshore sub-brand of Spyderco but benefits from Spyderco's excellent design and commitment to quality. High points are deployment speed, solid lockup, great blade jimping, take-apart construction, and good clip. Low points are a skin ripping liner lock and slick sided aluminum scaling. It compares favorably against its cousin the Spyderco Delica but is 1.6 oz heavier. Still for $25 it's an excellent way to satisfy your knife craving! Correction: knife scales are made of aluminum not Zytel as I said

  • @wannashmooze Lol, thats funny...but true

  • Weird, the tip on the Delica 4 looks to be rounded compare to the pointy tip on the Byrd Raven.

  • love my Bryd robin, smaller than the delica, cheap, takes a good edge, perfect for me as EDC because pulling out a 4in knife to open a box tends to freak people out.

  • byrd is the better

  • Excellent knives at bargain basement prices! The packaging has since changed to mimic the Spyderco boxes, except with the golden Byrd logo and a Green/White/ Black theme.

  • Does anyone know why the HECK nutnfancy always (or used to) mentions that he's right handed when talking about tip-up and tip-down? It's not relevant AT ALL. o_O

  • G-10 handled version 27 bucks on ebay. Purely AWESOME.

  • I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a fetish for blades and an unstoppable love for weapons. Nice review, man.

  • @fenderrocks84

Its not, but imo faster opening than AO.

  • Only if it was lockback.
