This piece of music, 'Moving On', is from the soundtrack of the sixth, and final, series of the television show, Lost. I'm an avid admirer of Michael Giacchino's music and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

'Moving On' is poignant because it is the last piece of music that was played in Lost, bringing the show to a heartfelt conclusion. At the same time it brings back memories from the entire span of the show as this one piece is a medley of several other pieces, e.g. 'There's No Place Like Home', 'Hurleys Handouts' and 'Life and Death'.

So give this piece a listen and if you like it, have a look at his other work.

Take care.

  • Wow, where did you get this, it does not have all the sound shadows that other posts of this have.

  • @LLGoldstein I got it from Itunes but I just bought the second half of the series 6 soundtrack from Amazon the other day. This song is the only one from the finale that's on the first half soundtrack. Well worth paying for it I'd say.

  • @Jgold987 I need to agree, the sixth season certainly was a piece of Shaq.

  • season 6 was the perfect character finale!! not a mysteries-solved finale

  • @Jgold987 I have to disagree. The sixth season was awesome. Then again I never watched the show for answers...Most of them were resolved in the 11 minute epilogue though.

  • Great piece of music. Sum of all that was Lost. As I listen to it I remember them all, their victory and defeats. The joy of rediscovering each other in the Church at the very end.

Season 6 was good, I liked it, even though it became dark as the end of the struggle between the 2 brothers came to a conclusion

The island was not purgatory, but part of their real life, for most of the characters it was the defining period in their lives. It helped bring out the best in them.

    I miss the show

  • 4:08

  • If the Island really was purgatory, how could people leave it? If it was purgatory the Oceanic Six for instance would have never been able to speak to people that never heard of the Island. The Ending of the show refered to the parallel existence, who was never supposed to exist.

  • oh, I love this song... it is simply PERFECT!!!! as everything in "Lost"... it's surely the best telefilm (--> I don't know the English 4 this word, sorry) I've ever seen...

  • The island was not purgatory

  • @tumtillio Yeah, my friends and I were like: "Please let the island not be purgatory! PLEASE LET IT NOT BE PURGATORY!" What did it turn out to be? Fucking purgatory. Weak...

  • WOW!

  • Melhor série de todos os tempos.

  • At 3:20 makes me cry.

  • The final season of lost was perfect. The way all the characters tied together in pure happiness in "The End" Was a perfect ending to what is probably the greatest show television has ever seen.
