Its exceptional accuracy, controllability, and wide array of accessories make the carbine an essential tool for modern warriors. In this exclusive video from Paladin Press, WARTAC founder Rich Nance and WARTAC instructor Aaron Peachman teach combat techniques and tactics designed to help you deploy the carbine under real-world conditions. First they reveal the mindset needed to master the fundamentals of marksmanship, proper weapon handling and shooting positions, malfunction clearing and reloads, and shooting in low-light situations.

Then step-by-step instruction in one- and two-man room entry and the use of cover provide you with the advanced tools needed to maximize the carbine's advantages in a firefight. Ultimately, the will to win and expert training in sound combat tactics are what help you prevail in any violent encounter. This video delivers both. For information purposes only.

Please watch the entire video and listen to what is being said before making a comment. We welcome constructive criticism. That means if you do not agree, please offer what you would do differently and why. The value in opposing opinions is that we all can learn even more from constructive discourse. But it must be civil.

  • Whats the reasoning behind keeping the buttstock in the armpit when entering? In case someone grabs the barrel? Just curious.

  • @UtahShotokan Thanks for the comment. I've been directing questions to the author of the video Rich Nance. He can be reached via his website at WARTAC (dot) com. Please let me know if you're unable to reach him and I'll do what I can for you.

  • @potenttokin Believe me, we would love to allow all posts. But people don't behave online the same as they do in person. We've been advised to create a posting policy. Many people come out with direct, personal attacks that it clouds the atmosphere of learning that we hope the comments can provide. We want people to be able to come here and gain real knowledge and not have to wade through a page of fart jokes. We want people to share their opinion without the worry of personal threats.

  • Are they ignoring the second door to the left for training purposes? I assume they are, because I hope they don't advocate turning your back to a potential threat area.

  • @UtahShotokan I am just guessing here. But I would assume it is so he does not present the barrel of his weapon to the inside of the room before he can get through his turn. Once he has entry, he shoulders the weapon. So I would figure he is trying not to telegraph his entry. It is standard muzzle discipline in most schools. No putting your muzzle around a corner until you are committed to the turn.

  • @UtahShotokan so the barrel will be shorter because you don't need longer barrel in close quarter.it can affect the mobility in cqb

  • Very very good. You guys are the first Americans I see with the right room clearing technique. One thing you missed it commands and putting some rounds into the room before entering from the corner of the door space. The is a way to do so without exposing yourself. But overall very very nice. I wish US troops would learn clearing room this way instead of just jumping straight in stupidly like they do.

  • been an army grunt for a good bit (21years as now),have seen alot of ways to do this in many variations a lot live fires. Picked up advanced urban clearing techniques seen bad techniques. It all comes down to many times doing it. I want go into what I no because terrorists are watching youtube, but thier are alot of ways to do it.

  • @kovemaster5591 I've been through a career of this type training and thier are many levels of skill I've seen in this. most of the infantry as a hole have dam good teams. It requires alot of training with your team to become well oiled.

  • @oxbyj last part good point, terrorists in training probally out thier taking notes even though that want help their dumb asses much.

  • Point man really does most of the room clearing everyone else just picks up the stragglers. You don't wait for #2 to take out someone you already identified as a threat. Pretty sure as soon as you go into the fatal frontal you sweep and get as many as you can identify and go to your designated point.

  • What's with the side exposure on entry... Not leading with the muzzle? And why place the butt and not already have your mount for the snap on contact. It's a good video well presented but basic in tactical principles... Which might be the point so that you don't show the good stuff.

  • Uhh what do you do if the doors closed.. and try keep your eye or arm pointed at next availible entry.
