  • This is wonderful Lynette!! So much easier when you can "see" it all.

Why is it important to use a stipple brush, rather than a paintbrush? Is that just ink from an inkpad that you are using? You don't have to wait for it to dry before you add the embossing paste?? So that must be CLEAR embossing paste?? (I only have white and black so they won't work)

Amazing - you did that lovely image in only 6 minutes!! Thank you so much!

Annie, stippling brushes have short, stiff bristles. I don't think a paintbrush would work very well. Yes, just ink from an ink pad. I used dye ink, which dries nearly immediately. What I used is just called "embossing paste." They also have translucent , glossy and maybe others, too. Thanks for your comments and questions!

  • @Enquiringmind777 I've not tried that, but I think the pens would bleed, I intend to try putting paste on letting it dry and then colouring over with promarker pens, I don't know for sure if this will work, but I've a hunch it will, as they are so permeable and can colour metal.

  • Very good, I've just used paste with glitter over, white paste is fine for that, which is another effect, but the coloured stencil showing through is very nice. What I would say is that I always have one of the 4 borders of low tack tape secured to a hard surface like a craft mat on one edge, and the stencil and card on the other edge because if you just stick the stencil to the card I've found it can move and smudge, this edge is then my lever for taking the stencil off

  • could you colour in the stencil using promarker pens and then place embossing paste over?

  • Lynette, some day when you have time, can you do one on the daisy edgebilities??

    I can wait......thanks!!
